Four new directors and eight renewing directors were installed last week during a Eustis Main Street member meeting held at The Crazy Gator Restaurant in downtown Eustis.

Judge Larry Semento administered the oath to Chuck Munson, Nanci Marsh, Bob David, Mary Abraham, Penny Jenness, B.E. Thompson, Jill Baker, Betty Pellegrini, Cindy Kim, Katie Kavetski and Tom Singleton. Lee Ann Gilson was unable to attend but was also elected by the Eustis Main Street membership.

These directors, plus four current board members and seven community organization liaisons, will serve as the board of directors for Eustis Main Street, Inc. for the 2011-2012 year.

Eustis Main Street, Inc. is a 501(c)3 Charitable Organization whose mission is to organize and assist in the revitalization of historic downtown Eustis and its lakefront. Best known perhaps for its monthly First Friday Street Fests and Downtown Cruise-Ins, this volunteer organization follows the successful Main Street Four Point Approach to Commercial District Revitalization.

More than 2,800 volunteer hours were reported in the first nine months of this fiscal year. Eustis Main Street Inc. has been a Nationally Accredited Main Street Program each year since 2008 and was selected as the Florida Main Street Program of the Month in April by Secretary of State Kurt Browning.

membership starts at $35 for individuals, $50 for Families, and $100 for businesses.
