Historic Preservation Objectives

  • Conduct Christmas Tour of Historic Homes

  • Purchase local landmark signs for most recently designated properties

  • Create and install signs demarking the Washington Avenue Historic District

  • Assist in the designation of Grove Street as an historic district

  • Assist in the designation of Center Street as an historic district

  • Create a downtown walking tour utilizing research from National Register nomination application.

 

The mission of the Historic Preservation Committee is preservation of the historic downtown building stock and the historic structures throughout the City
