The department represents the city with the development community, Community Redevelopment Area, (CRA) residents, local business community and other local and government agencies by planning, developing and overseeing the City’s economic development and redevelopment projects.
Lake County Economic Growth and Redevelopment Office
This office is a liaison between private companies and government with the goal of creating a business friendly environment which quality jobs for the citizens of Lake County. The Department works in partnership with the City of Eustis to coordinate efforts with stakeholder and community leaders to enhance and diversify the tax base and identifying business opportunities for new and relocating business.
Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission
The Metro-Orlando EDC markets the Lake County area worldwide as a top location in an effort to promote business and investment. The commission also works with existing business by way of its regional network to assist them with expansion, relocation and other business concerns.
Florida Virtual Entrepreneur Center
The Florida Virtual Entrepreneur Center is a free web portal designed to connect entrepreneurs with business support organizations, programs and service providers who can support their new or growing business.
The Lake-Sumter Chapter of SCORE is dedicated to helping Lake and Sumter County entrepreneurs succeed. Our counselors are current or former business managers and executives who have the expertise to help you start or grow your own small business.
